About penis enlargement

Most guys have worried about the size of their dick at some point, and many would like to make it bigger. But with so many scams on the internet it's difficult to know what works and what doesn't. That's why we made this guide!

What doesn't work:

Jelqing is a manual technique intended to push blood from the base to the head of the penis, increasing blood pressure and circulation and increasing the volume of the penile cavities that fill with blood. However, there is no scientific evidence that these techniques lead to an increase in penis size and can potentially result in severe damage including blood vessel tearing, nerve damage, scar formation, pain, disfigurement, desensitization of the penis and erectile dysfunction.

Stretching involves attaching a device or weights to the penis to exert traction and stretch it. As with jelqing, while there is evidence that these methods could be potentially damaging in both the short and long-term, there is little evidence to support the success of these methods.

Pumps work by drawing blood into the penis, making it swell and visually increase in size. However, this increase is temporary and using one too often or for too long can damage elastic tissue in the penis, leading to less firm erections with no long-term effect on size.

None of these products has been proven to work, and some may be harmful. If they did work there would be an entire aisle dedicated to them in your local supermarket or pharmacy instead of only some shadey looking website.

The most widely used surgical procedure to lengthen the penis involves severing the suspensory ligament that attaches the penis to the pubic bone and holds it in place. When this ligament is cut, the penis appears longer because more of it hangs down and a small increase in length can be expected. However, cutting the suspensory ligament can cause an erect penis to become unstable and it may be necessary to hold the penis in place during sex. Furthermore, some men report a reduction in size due to scar tissue formation and the surgery can result in complications such as infection and loss of sensation or function.

Other procedures involve grafting tissue onto the shaft of the penis or injecting fat from other areas of the body into the penis shaft to increase girth . Results are often disappointing, however, because much of the injected fat is reabsorbed by the body, often leading to lumping and a distorted penis shape over time.

Overall more rigorous research is needed to establish the safety and effectiveness of these techniques and at best you risk severe side-effects for very little (if any) gain.

What does work:

Losing weight

The safest and most effective method to increase the size of your dick is to lose fat and get fit. Losing fat, particularly around the belly and pubic fat-pad, can expose previously hidden areas of the penis and produce very real gains. Similarly, improved cardiovascular health can increase blood-flow and improve the strength and size of your erection. It may also increase your confidence and performance during sex!

Trimming the forest

Having a lot of pubic hair around the base of your dick can make it look shorter. Whilst trimming your bush will not literally increase the size of your dick it will likely make it look bigger. There's a reason few porn stars go for the natural bush, so why not use this safe and free method to enhance the appearance of your cock?

Stop worrying

For most men fears about penis size are completely unwarranted as even if you are below the average it's unlikely to be by very much. In fact, the vast majority of men fall within less than an inch either side of the average length! If you've not done so already, use our penis size comparison calculator to compare for yourself. It's also worth noting that with regards to sex, most women do not experience orgasms via penetration but by clitoral or other stimulation, so try some different positions and work on your finger and oral skills!
